Todd Johnson

Bio:

Todd Johnson is recognized as a pioneer of the six-string electric bass. He has developed the innovative ability to play bass lines and chord changes simultaneously, plus his ability to play “chord melody” gives him a unique sound that proves extremely useful in both solo and small combo work.

Todd has been an integral member of the critically acclaimed jazz trio of
guitarist Ron Eschete since 1991 and has performed and/or recorded with
other such artists as, Mike Stern, Poncho Sanchez, Frank Potenza, and
Dave Weckl.

As an educator Johnson has taught courses in a variety of settings at such notable schools as Musicians Institute (BIT) 1991-1999, The California Institute of the Arts 1998-2004, and The Master’s College 2002 – 2011. After relocating from Los Angeles to Phoenix Arizona in 2011, Todd now teaches privately via online video chat technology with a roster of students from
around the world.

Bio:

Aaron grew up with the dream of becoming a great musician, and went through a multitude of instruments before realizing his passion for the bass at age 14. Throughout high school and college, he studied under renowned bass professor, Jim Stinnett. He further honed his skills and expanded his repertoire during a brief 2-year stint at the Berklee College of Music. Aaron currently resides in New Jersey and is a frequent local performer and session musician.

 

Aaron has performed and recorded with artists such as Femi, Keegan Ferrell, Frank Pierce, Jack Mauro, Jason Recht, Craig Jackson, Samuel Bolduc, Carlos Eiene, Dom Moio, and many more.

 

Aaron proudly endorses Muckelroy Basses, Phil Jones Bass, and LaBella Strings.

Bio:

 Kent Beatty has been on his way to the forefront of modern bass playing since he started at age 12. Influenced by such legends as Flea, Les Claypool, Victor Wooten, and Stuart Zender, his style has caused audiences to compare him to his musical heroes. He performs at various bass events and competitions, and has even been introduced on stage by Victor Wooten himself. Kent is best known for his 5 years touring internationally with Hamilton Loomis, and for his ability to blend solid musicianship with solo performances. He works with several artists and also records with his various rock, jazz, funk, and fusion projects yet to be released. No stranger to clinics, Kent has shared his love of music at workshops, schools, and rock camps around the world to all ages and skill levels. He is currently touring with Brother Dege, whose music is featured on Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained” film soundtrack, as well as the Discovery Channel and the National Geographic Channel.
